Paddle Point Club ("Paddle Point Club," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us when you use our court booking website (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and safeguard it, and the rights available to you under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines, its implementing rules and regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
By using this Site and submitting a booking, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
When you make a booking, we collect only the information you voluntarily provide, namely:
- Your Facebook name;
- Your contact number;
- Your booking details (the court, date or dates, and time slot or slots you select); and
- Your proof of payment (for example, a screenshot of your payment) and any information visible within that image.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect more information than is necessary to process your booking.
2. How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from you when you complete the booking form on our Site and when you send us your proof of payment through Facebook Messenger. We do not buy or obtain your personal information from third parties.
3. Why We Collect and Use Your Information
We process your personal information to:
- receive, process, confirm, and manage your court booking;
- verify your payment;
- contact you about your booking, including clarifications, changes, or cancellations;
- keep records of bookings and payments for legitimate business, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes; and
- comply with applicable laws and lawful requests from authorities.
Our lawful bases for processing are your consent and the necessity of processing to fulfill the booking you request from us.
4. How We Store and Protect Your Information
Booking details and proof-of-payment images are stored using Google Workspace services (such as Google Drive and Google Sheets). Access is limited to authorized Paddle Point Club personnel who need the information to process and manage bookings. We apply reasonable organizational, physical, and technical measures intended to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
While we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only:
- with service providers that process data on our behalf, such as Google (for storage) and Meta Platforms / Facebook (when you contact us through Messenger), each subject to its own privacy policy;
- when required by law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable government request; and
- to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights, including resolving disputes about bookings or payments.
When you message us or send a payment screenshot through Facebook Messenger, your information is also processed by Meta Platforms in accordance with its own privacy policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your booking information and proof of payment only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy — including record-keeping, accounting, and resolving any disputes — and as required by applicable law. When the information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or dispose of it.
7. Your Rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to:
- be informed about how your personal data is processed;
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- object to processing or withdraw your consent;
- have inaccurate or outdated data corrected;
- have your data erased or blocked in certain circumstances;
- be indemnified for damages arising from unlawful processing; and
- lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. Withdrawing consent or requesting deletion may mean we are unable to process or honor your booking.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Site and services are intended for individuals able to enter into a valid booking. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a minor has provided us information without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
Our Site links to third-party services such as Facebook and Facebook Messenger. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
